SGP Benefits Webinar Flexographic Techni- cal Association will host a targeted and timely webinar: “Understand- ing the Sustainable Green Printing Partner- ship and the Benefits of SGP Certification,” Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2013. The agenda spans 60 minutes time, with kick-off set for 2:30 pm. This webinar, which is free for FTA members, will ex- plain the SGP certification criteria and process, resources available through FTA to help you through the process, and what SGP has meant to a certified printer. Cost to non FTA members is $99. Speakers include Doreen M. Monteleone, Ph.D. , director of EHS & special projects for FTA and a member of the SGP Board of Directors; and. In support of that cam- paign, Flexographic Technical Association hosts the Environmental Excellence Awards and thereby celebrates those firms that are active in environmentally friendly practices. Through this awards program, the association honors companies and organi- zations that utilize environmentally sound resources and practices that contrib- ute to a healthier Earth and a better way of life. FTA recently issued its formal call for entries for the 2012 Environmental Excellence Awards competition. Submis- sions close Dec. 31, 2012. Any company active in the flexographic printing industry is invited to enter.
